Fátima Bosch Fernández (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈfatima ˈboʃ], Catalan pronunciation: [ˈfatima ˈbosk]; born 19 May 2000) is a Mexican model and beauty pageant titleholder who was crowned Miss Universe 2025. She is the fourth Mexican woman to win the title, she was previously crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025.
Early life and education
Bosch was born on 19 May 2000, in Teapa, Tabasco, to Bernardo Bosch Hernández and Vanessa Fernández Balboa. She has a brother, Bernardo Jr. Bosch.[4] Bosch completed her elementary and high school education between Colegio Arji, Instituto Cumbres Villahermosa.[5]
From 2021 to 2024, Bosch attended the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City where she earned a bachelor's degree in fashion and apparel design.[6] Her surname, Bosch, is of Catalan origin and means "forest".[7]
Pageantry
Flor Tabasco 2018
Bosch won the title of Flor Tabasco 2018, representing Teapa,[8] competed against 16 contestants during the pageant finale held in the Centro de Convenciones Tabasco 2000 of Villahermosa on August 27, 2018.[9] She was crowned by the outgoing titleholder, Bárbara Aranguren.[10]
Miss Universe Mexico 2025
Bosch, representing Tabasco, competed alongside 32 contestants at the second edition of Miss Universe Mexico.[11] The final night was held on September 13, 2025 at the Sala Plácido Domingo del Conjunto Santander de Artes Escénicas in Zapopan, Jalisco. She was crowned Miss Universe Mexico 2025 by outgoing titleholder Fernanda Beltrán.[12]
Miss Universe 2025
On 4 November 2025, during sash ceremony event, a dispute occurred when Miss Universe Thailand national director Nawat Itsaragrisil reprimanded Bosch and referred to her as "dumb", leading to tensions and several contestants walking out.[13][14][15][16] Bosch later said she felt disrespected, while Miss Universe 2024, Victoria Kjær Theilvig criticized the public scolding and left the venue.[17][18][19]
On 21 November 2025, Bosch represented Mexico at Miss Universe 2025 and competed against 100 other candidates at the Impact Challenger Hall in Pak Kret, Nonthaburi, Thailand.[20] After the final competition, she was crowned the winner, becoming the fourth Mexican woman to earn the Miss Universe title. Bosch follows Lupita Jones, Ximena Navarrete and Andrea Meza.[21] In the final round, Bosch was asked how she would use the Miss Universe platform to inspire and empower girls around the world. She answered that women must speak out, believe in their worth, and not allow anyone to question their value.[22]
Personal Life
Although she keeps her life private, she had started a romance with Mexican soccer player Kevin Álvarez in early 2021, but due to her professional commitments, they broke up in mid-2023, which allowed Bosch to focus on her professional development.[23]
